PRE-DENTAL MEMBERSHIP TERMS
1. What this is. This is a free courtesy, not a program, internship, or placement service. Resources, events, and opportunities may change over time, and nothing here guarantees shadowing, admission to dental school, or any particular outcome.
2. Information, not advice. What I share, including tips, guidance, and guest insights, is for general educational purposes and reflects the experience of the person sharing it. It does not replace guidance from your school’s pre-health advisor or the admissions information from the schools you apply to.
3. Others make their own decisions. Dental offices, guest speakers, and other professionals take part voluntarily. Offices decide whether, when, and how to host students. I share contact information and requirements, but I don’t arrange, schedule, or supervise shadowing or any other opportunity.
4. You represent yourself. When you contact an office or professional, you speak for yourself, not me. You are responsible for your communication and conduct and for meeting any requirements they ask of you.
5. Be respectful and professional. Follow each office’s requirements and instructions, use only the contact listed, and be mindful of people’s time. Protect patient privacy at all times: no photos, recordings, or sharing of patient information.
6. Keep it private. Don’t share your link, your login, the list of offices, or anything shared here, including live sessions, and don’t record or repost without permission.
7. Help shape it. I’d love to hear what’s helpful, so I may ask you to answer polls or complete a short check-in form after you shadow. Tips I share with other members will be anonymous unless you agree otherwise.
8. Access may change. I may pause or remove access at any time, including if an office raises a concern or these expectations aren’t followed. Offices may also ask to be removed from the list.
9. Your information. What you submit is used to manage access and communicate with you. I won’t share it with offices.
10. Responsibility. Participation is voluntary. I am not responsible for the policies, decisions, or conduct of any office, guest, or other participant.
